As an intimate group of extraordinary Black gay men ascended into the history of this 20+ year old tradition, (UMOJA RETREAT) the ancestors smiled in approval.
There are few words that can describe what healing and transformation looks and feels like.
It can look like brothers coming together to sit in circles to share their joys and pains all in an effort to be better and to better those connected to them.
It feels like identifying a heavy weight with in one’s self and allowing ourselves to surrender. It is through this process that we elevate together with resolve and the intention to heal and BE FREE.
ORDER MY STEPS was the mantra.
Great food, sharing, laughter, self-examination, positive affirmation, and brothers bonding and healing together.
