Last Night was a magical moment in the 21year history of In The Meantime Men’s Group, Inc. Our work was celebrated by Better Brothers LA and the Diva Foundation, at the 5th Annual Truth Awards. We were blessed to receive the Advocacy Award. Thank You Dr. Leo Moore, MD for presenting us with the award. Thank You Scott and Vincent for an incredible evening!
LA’s finest packed the opulent banquet hall of the Tagylan Cultural Complex to enjoy an amazing night of community at its best.
We accepted the award as a team. Joining me on stage was Ronald Jackson, Gregory Wilson, JaVonTae Wilson, Louis Smith III, Stevie Cole, Carl Highshaw, Earl Wooten, Garry Gregory, Joshua Green, and Xavier Craddock.
It was 21 years when I sat down at my kitchen table and wrote the following:
“We challenge ourselves to achieve a greater sense of responsibility to our ancestry, ourselves, and to those who will follow. In The Meantime we strive to become better brothers, better sons, better fathers, better lovers, better friends, better role models, and better people, In The Meantime and until the end of time”.
