MyLife My Style
MyLife MyStyle, gives young Black gay men, between the ages of 18-29 years old, an opportunity to explore, share, and think critically about their social circles, how they make decisions on sexual partners and sexual behavior, developing healthy social networks, and the impact of social media on their choices. Mylife Mystyle contains an integrated educational component that addresses risk-reduction choices, including condom usage, serosorting, PrEP, and PEP. The intervention empowers and challenges young Black gay men to take personal responsibility for making better choices, to seek support, and to utilize available resources.
The Bridge
The ‘Bridge’ counseling and resource referral component is staffed by peer navigators/linkage specialists who are certified HIV testing counselors and case managers who provide one on one counseling and directly link men to needed services that include housing, mental health treatment, and substance abuse treatment. Bridge counselors directly link HIV+ men to medical services.
