In The Meantime Men’s Group, Inc. is purposed to enrich, empower, and extend the lives of intergenerational black men, respectful of sexual orientation, through social, educational, health and wellness programs and services.

What Are Your Plans for 2018?

As In the Meantime begins the last quarter of 2017, we can collectively take satisfaction in completing another productive year. The months have been jammed-packed full of programmatic, social and community-focused events and activities. But there is change in the air. Today we face an uncertain political landscape and shifting resources. Who knows what lies on the horizon for 2018?

But there are a few things we do know. We envision the meaningful expansion of multi-leveled programmatic implementation. We will see an increase in revenue, staffing, and a clear-cut focus on increased HIV testing and STI screening that will lead to more seamless linkage-to-care efforts. We will see the delivery of In The Meantime’s home-grown (and proven-effective) behavioral-based My Life My Style intervention designed for young Black gay men 18-29 years of age. We will jumpstart The Bridge, our linkage management department.

In The Meantime will continue to support the 50+ group by securing dedicated funding to increase outreach and social support for mature men 50+. Our efforts to support young Black gay men will
